Cardio Conditioning
Elevate your heart health and endurance with our specialised Cardio Conditioning Group Class! This small group session is designed in alignment with the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) physical activity guidelines, ensuring that each workout supports your overall health and wellbeing under expert physiotherapy guidance.
The WHO recommends that adults engage in at least 150-300 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity or 75-150 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity each week. Additionally, muscle-strengthening activities involving major muscle groups should be done on two or more days a week. Our class is structured to help you meet these targets safely and effectively.
Our physiotherapy team develops an 8-week periodised plan, carefully designed to help you progressively build strength and endurance while minimising the risk of injury. Each session combines cardiovascular exercises on machines, such as bikes or rowing machines, with functional movement patterns performed against external resistance using bodyweight, dumbbells or kettlebells. These exercises are designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, and functional movement.
This class perfectly complements our strength training and Pilates classes, offering a well-rounded approach to your fitness routine. Together, they provide a comprehensive programme that enhances heart health, builds muscle strength, improves flexibility, and supports overall physical wellbeing.
